The Tuckley name appears in the records for several Battles and Wars. References so far found include :-

1849 Private 2231 David Tuckley killed at Chilianwala India

1865 Private Benjamin W Tuckley ref. Muster Roll of the 134th New York Volunteer Infantry USA 18 years old Enlisted at NYC [4/4/1865]

1915  Corporal William Alfred Tuckley [10628] serving in France with the 5th Battalion Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry died on 17th November 1915 aged 21 years. Sadly he has no known grave and is therefore commemorated, by name, on the Ypres [ Menim Gate] Memorial, Belgium. Memorial Panel 37and 38

1916  Private Lawrence George  Tuckley Private 3761 Sherwood Forresters [Notts and Derby Regiment] killed in action 20th May 1916  France  Age 22  Name recorded on the war memorial Danesmoor, Derbyshire   Cemetary Foncquevillers Military Cemetary

1917 Company Serjeant Major Earnest Andrew Tuckley [14414] serving with 7th Battalion died on 26th September 1917 aged 41 years.sadly he has no known grave and is therefore commemorated by name on the Tyne Cot Memorial Passchendale, Belgium. Grave panels Reference 112 to 113
